Community Clean Up
Volunteers for driving and helping are
needed for our Community clean up on
September 21, 2019.
If you can spare a couple of hours to
help make your community a better place
for all of us, please contact
the hall at 403-273-7209
or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Erin Woods Community Association shares your commitment to keep our community clean. This community clean-up project helps residents dispose of large items such as old mattresses, furniture, appliances, barbeques, old lumber, etc. We will also dispose of car batteries, tires, newspapers, bottles, cans, etc.
***Sorry we are NOT able to accept solvents, used oil, paint, sod or dirt, propane bottles and microwaves***
***WE REQUIRE MINIMUM PAYMENT OF $20.00 FOR ANY APPLIANCE WITH FREON; AS THE CITY CHARGES FOR THIS DISPOSAL*****(the hall does not profit from this money)
EWCA, in partnership with the City of Calgary, has arranged for volunteers to pick up these unwanted items and dispose of them for you. This program is exclusive to the community of Erin Woods and we can only accept residential garbage. We will recycle and reuse wherever possible, with all proceeds going to the Erin Woods Community Association.
For a cash donation to the Erin Woods Community Association per half-ton pick-up load, we will pick-up unwanted items on a first-come-first-served basis. The EWCA reserves the right to refuse any items and limit quantities.
Our primary objective is to help the residents of Erin Woods dispose of unwanted items. In the process we hope to raise funds for the Erin Woods Community Association.
Trucks, flat beds, trailers and volunteers are still required. If you can spare any time please call Carolyn at 403-273-7209.
To participate in this initiative we need a couple of things from you.
1. Complete the Registration Form, Liability Form and your cheque—payable to Erin Woods Community Association. The forms are on the next page.
2. Leave your completed forms at the Community Association Hall—83 Erin Park Drive—The cut- off date will be September 19; so get registrations in early to avoid disappointment. There will be a cap of 15 registrations this year. If you require more information please call Carolyn at 273-7209
3. Mark all items for pick up with a large "X" and place them in the alley, out front or in the garage. If it is not marked with an "X" it will not be picked up. Have items ready the night before as we will be starting by 8:00 am. Items MUST be outside, and small items must be packed up in bags/boxes.
If you can transport unwanted items on your own, please bring them to the Hall between 9-1, Saturday, September 21, 2019.
A BBQ lunch will be provided for volunteers.
