Erin Woods Community Association
Annual Fall Clean-Up
Saturday, September 21, 2019
Erin Woods Community Association shares your commitment to keep our community clean. This community clean-up project helps residents dispose of large items such as old mattresses, furniture, appliances, barbeques, old lumber, etc. We will also dispose of car batteries, tires, newspapers, bottles, cans, etc. New to the program is acceptance of organics and grass clippings
***Sorry we are NOT able to accept solvents, used oil, paint, sod or dirt, propane bottles and microwaves***
***WE REQUIRE MINIMUM PAYMENT OF $30.00 FOR ANY APPLIANCE WITH FREON; AS THE CITY CHARGES FOR THIS DISPOSAL*****(the hall does not profit from this money)
All City of Calgary residents may dispose of unwanted items at any Community Clean Up in the City. There is no charge to bring the items to be disposed.
EWCA, rents trucks to pick up unwanted items for the residents of Erin Woods. Volunteers drive the trucks and pick up the items. This program is exclusive to the community of Erin Woods and we can only accept residential garbage. EWCA reserves the right to refuse any items and limit quantities and we will recycle and reuse wherever possible. This is done on a first come first serve basis.
We ask for a cash donation for this service to cover the cost of trucks. All profit goes to the Erin Woods Community Association.
Our primary objective is to help the residents of Erin Woods dispose of unwanted items. In the process we hope to raise funds for the Erin Woods Community Association.
To participate in this initiative we need a couple of things from you.
1. Complete the Registration Form and Liability Form and bring the completed forms with your cash donation to the Erin Woods Community Association at 83 Erin Park Drive.
2. The cut- off date will be September 17; so get registrations in early to avoid disappointment. There will be a cap of 15 registrations. If you require more information please call Carolyn at 273-7209
3. Mark all items for pick up with a large "X" and place them in the alley, out front or in the garage. If it is not marked with an "X" it will not be picked up. Have items ready the night before as we will be starting by 8:00 am. Items MUST be outside, and small items must be packed up in bags/boxes.
If you can transport unwanted items on your own, please bring them to the Hall between 9-1, Saturday, September 21, 2019.
A BBQ lunch will be provided for volunteers.
